Coastguard

Cottage

Working with existing furniture pieces, we upholstered the living room sofa and armchairs in natural fabrics decorated with patterned fabric cushions. The window treatments are light and airy on double brass poles. We added half-height horizontal panelling to both the primary and second bedroom, creating luxe feature walls with complimenting wallpapers. Brass is featured throughout in door hardware and light fittings, making a much more ornamented feel. We designed a thoughtful lighting plan, adding sophisticated mood lighting with brass pendant lights, sconces and lamps with natural shades. We accessorised the cottage with reclaimed pieces such as a driftwood mantel, trailing plants and colourful, coastal artwork, and added the illusion of alcoves in the living room with symmetrical brass edged mirrors to reflect the light.
